SPIRITUAL DEVELOPMENT

Children and youth are blessed in having a safe venue in which to praise and worship our Lord, eat meals together, and study the bible. Participants are also involved in discussion groups. They take turns facilitating the groups, as they are led by the Holy Spirit to serve others. Programs vary from 50-120 children and youth, and 15-20 adults. Revelation 3:20 Behold I stand at the door and knock, if anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in and eat with him and he with Me. John 1:12 But as many as received Him, to them He gave them the right to become children of God.

JMCM provides meals and diverse educational activities at no cost for children in order for their extremely poor families to work and/or seek familial sustenance.

We cater and nurture children  and young adults to help them develop into fruitful adults in Uganda. The needs are many, but we prioritize the food and the acquisition of basic needs to enable a child to live another day.

JMCM’s beneficiary children and young adults come from various backgrounds of vulnerability. This includes mothers abandoned by husbands who become the only source of income for the family; those with very low, or no income strata members of society who are often forced into positions to do anything to survive; and those with multiple children and nowhere to turn. Many, including children, who do not have support become involved with trafficking (such as prostitution) in order to eat.

Another vulnerable group is the refugees in Uganda. They also come to the JMCM shelter for support. JMCM also goes to refugee camps in Western Uganda to share the Word of God. During those outreaches, JMCM takes much needed items to give to them, including clothing.

JMCM depends on daily donations from well wishers and friends. JMCM is also running income-generating activities such as agriculture, cookery and bakery for self sustainability.

Through the provision of these types of activities, JMCM is able to  encourage Christians, or introduce non-Christians to Jesus.
