At Jesus and Me Children's Ministries (JMCM), we believe that every volunteer has unique gifts that can bring hope, encouragement, and practical support to those we serve. Whether you are a student, teacher, healthcare professional, skilled tradesperson, retiree, church member, or simply someone with a heart to serve, we invite you to join us.
Our volunteers come from Uganda and around the world. Together, we share God's love by serving orphaned and vulnerable children, strengthening families, supporting local churches, and reaching communities with compassion and the Gospel.

Volunteer Opportunities
Children's Ministry
Help children learn, grow, and discover God's love by:
- Assisting with educational activities
- Teaching or mentoring in English, Mathematics, Science, or other subjects
- Leading Bible stories, worship, crafts, and games
- Supporting children's camps and holiday programs
Community Outreach
Serve alongside our team by:
- Distributing food and clothing to vulnerable families
- Supporting community health and hygiene education
- Visiting children's families in need
- Encouraging both normal children and children with disabilities
Youth Development
Help equip young people by:
- Mentoring teenagers and young adults
- Assisting with Bible studies and discipleship
- Teaching practical life and vocational skills
- Supporting leadership development programs
Church Ministry
Support local churches by:
- Assisting during worship services
- Helping with children's church
- Supporting church conferences and community events
- Training local volunteers in ministry skills
Environmental and Community Projects
Work alongside local communities by:
- Planting trees
- Participating in community clean-up projects
- Supporting sustainable farming initiatives
- Helping improve community facilities
Who Can Volunteer?
We welcome individuals, families, church teams, university groups, medical teams, skilled professionals, and retirees who desire to serve Christ through practical ministry.
Whether you can serve for one week, several months, or longer, we would be delighted to discuss opportunities with you.
What We Provide

Volunteers are responsible for their own travel expenses, visas, insurance, and personal spending. We are happy to provide information about accommodation, meals, airport pickup, and local transportation before your visit.
Volunteer Requirements
To ensure the safety and well-being of every child in our care, all volunteers must:
- Complete a volunteer application
- Provide a police or criminal background check from their country of residence
- Read and sign JMCM's Child Safeguarding Policy
- Respect Ugandan laws, culture, and Christian values that JMCM stands for
- Follow all ministry guidelines while serving
